Skillselion is **free** to use. Offer price: 0 USD.

There are no paid plans, subscription charges, or per-query fees for browsing the directory, reading research, calling the public catalog API, or using the Skillselion MCP (`npx -y skillselion-mcp`).

- Public website: free, no account required.
- Public catalog API (`/api/v1/*` and `/api/upstream/*`): free, no API key.
- MCP server and agent skill: free, no billing account.
- Research datasets marked CC BY: free to cite with attribution.

Optional paid surface: advertisers can buy sponsored placements on `/advertise` when the site-wide `monetization_enabled` toggle is on. That is advertising, not a user plan. It does not gate catalog reads.

This page describes Skillselion. It does not cover charges from third-party hosts, model providers, or tools you install from the catalog.
